Companies with private rights, based in Brazil, whose effective control is exercised, directly or indirectly, by a private individual or group of private individuals residing in Brazil, and in which any definitive decision-making power is conferred to the majority of the voting capital represented by means of Brazilian participation.
Companies with private rights, based in Brazil, whose effective control is exercised, directly or indirectly, by a private individual or company based abroad, provided that, in accordance with the law in effect, the BNDES has available resources, that have been obtained abroad, or the Executive Branch authorizes the granting of financial assistance.
Individual businessman, provided that they carry out a productive activity and that they are enrolled at the Brazilian Business Registry (CNPJ - Cadastro Nacional de Pessoas Jurídicas).
Company Size
The size of a company influences the financing conditions.
Micro Enterprise:
aannual operating gross revenues* of up to R$ 1,200 (one thousand Brazilian reais).
Small Enterprise:
annual operating gross revenues* of more than R$ 1,200 (one thousand Brazilian reais) and less than or equal to R$ 10,500 (ten thousand and five hundred Brazilian reais).
Medium-sized Enterprise:
annual operating gross revenues* of more than R$ 10,500 (ten thousand and five hundred Brazilian reais) and less than or equal to R$ 60 million (sixty million Brazilian reais).
Large Enterprise:
aannual operating gross revenues* of more than R$ 60 million (sixty million Brazilian reais).
(*) Annual operating gross revenues consist of the revenues posted throughout the calendar year with the result from the sales of goods and services in operations in the company’s own account, the price of offered services and the result of operations in third parties’ accounts, not including the cancelled sales and unconditional discounts that were
offered.
In the case of activities initiated in the same calendar year, the limits mentioned above are proportional to the number of months in which the company of individual company has been operating, not counting days or weeks (that is, fractions of months). In the case of companies that are being established, the annual sales forecast used in the undertaking will be considered, taking into account the total installed capacity.
When the company is controlled by another company or belongs to an
economic group, the size classification will be granted considering the consolidated gross revenues.
