To promote competition among Brazilian agribusiness and agricultural
companies.
» Clients
Agribusiness companies within the Brazilian Classification of Economic Activities - CNAE (version 2.0) - outlined by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, pursuant to the following codes:
Manufacturing of food products (C.10);
Manufacturing of beverages (C.11);
Manufacturing of tobacco goods (C.12);
Preparation and spinning of natural textile fibers (C.13.11 and C.13.12);
Spinning of artificial and synthetic fibers (C.13.13);
Weaving (C. 13.2 and C. 13.3);
Tanning and other leather preparation processes (C.15.1);
Footwear manufacturing (C.15.3);
Bucking, flitching and canting of wood (lumber) (C.16.1);
Manufacturing of wood, cork and braided goods, except for furniture (16.2);
Manufacturing of wood pulp and other pulps used in papermaking (C.17.1);
Manufacturing of paperboard and cardboard (C.17.2);
Manufacturing of ethanol (C.19.31);
Manufacturing of agrochemicals and household disinfectants (C.20.5);
and
Manufacturing of tractors, machinery and equipment for agricultural and cattle-raising purposes (CNAE C.28.3).
Cooperatives involved with agricultural and cattle-raising activities and/or related services (A.01, G.46.2 and G.46.3).
» Types of Financial Support
Automatic indirect support – up to R$ 50 million;
Non-automatic indirect support - up to R$ 50 million;
Direct support - above R$ 30 million.
» Eligible items
Working capital, in the maximum amount of R$ 200 million per client (per Corporate ID), limited to 20% of the Gross Operating Income – GOI of the previous year, whichever is smaller.
For the purposes of calculating the 20% limit, the client’ GOI will be considered, even if it belongs to a Business Group.
» Interest Rate
The interest rate will be 11.25 % p.a., including the accredited financing institution’s spread and/or BNDES’ spread.
» Term of Loan
Up to 24 months, including 12 months grace period.
» Amortization
Interests must be paid on a quarterly basis, over the grace period, and on a monthly basis over the amortization period, together with the debt principal.
» Guarantees and Collaterals
For direct and non-automatic indirect operations, all modalities of guarantees and collaterals usually accepted by the BNDES may be given.
For automatic and non-automatic indirect operations, provided that the non-automatic is held by Financial Agent qualified to provide a bank guarantee to the BNDES, the guarantees and collaterals will be those defined for the BNDES Automatic.
Pledge of credit rights from financial investments will not be allowed as collateral.
In the case of financial institutions issuing surety letters in favor of the BNDES as guarantees and collateral for PROCER operations, the maturity of these instruments must be dated the second month as of the date of the last repayment installment of the guaranteed contract.
» Expiration Date
December 31st, 2009, according to the budget limit.
» Application
For automatic indirect operations (up to R$ 50 million), clients should send applications to the accredited financial
institution of their choice.
For direct operations (above R$ 30 million) and non-automatic indirect operations (above R$ 50 million), applications should be sent to the BNDES by means of an Inquiry Letter – filled out according to Guidelines for Qualification Information - Special Rural Credit Program
